December 2025 - We invite the community to participate in our "Deck The Halls" treats and toy drive. You can be a "Secret Santa" for a shelter animal and give them an extra special Christmas 🎄
SouthWest Animal Team (SWAT) is on a mission to ensure every dog and cat waiting for a forever home at the Valencia County Animal Shelter in Los Lunas NM receives a personalized Christmas stocking stuffed with toys and treats. At the same time, you can also help out a pet in the community!

* $25 "Stocking Stuffer": A full stocking for one shelter dog or cat.
* $50 "Valencia County Hero": A full stocking for one shelter dog or cat + a donation to our emergency medical fund.
* $75 "Community Champion": A full stocking for one shelter dog or cat + a donation to our emergency medical fund and a bag of pet food for a local owned pet in need.

We will be delivering the stockings to the shelter on December 16th to hang on all of the kennels and then back there on December 23rd to give out to each one of the animals. If you’re interested in helping us on either, or both of those days, please send us an email with your information.
